Monster In The Sky
The gray, stormy skies are lit up bright with light.
I huddle under the bed cringing and shaking in fright.
The gray and merciless skies threaten me, it's grumbling sound is maid.
I try to keep from screaming. I cannot being afraid.
My little teddy, Theodore no longer can help me know.
He sits there dull and lifeless he holds no magic now.
My precious little doll can no longer stop my tears.
My pillow and my blanket can no longer hide my fear.
The monster in the sky scares me more than the gloomy dark.
Not even my forbidding closet or the flying fox in the park.
No toy or hiding place can protect me from that monster in the skies.
All I can really do is block my ears and shut my eyes.
So all I can do now is hold my lifeless teddy and silently shed my tears.
Hide under my blanket and try to block out my fear....
Cat!
