I know you mean well,
And I know you're sorry too.
But I don't need your hand to guide me,
When you don't know what I'm going through.

I know you mean well,
And I know you'll be there too.
All the things you say really help me,
When I don't know what I'm going to do.

I know you mean well,
I know you want me happy too.
I know you're a wonderful friend,
When you make me laugh while I'm feeling blue.

I know you mean well,
I know you're sorry too.
But you hold out your had to guide me.
Maybe you do know what I'm going through.
