Eating Disorder Poetry
Anna
Half of everything
That's all she eats
If she eats more
She feels only guilt She sticks to fruits
Veggies and grains
No meats for her
It only means fat After she eats
She needs to be active
She tries to burn it all
So she has nothing left Her tummy gets upset
It hates her for the torture
But it does not understand
She cannot get fat No chocolate for her
No sweets, not anything
She's scared to get fat
She's scared of the rejection She exercises daily
Always overdoing it
But if she doesn't
She becomes a wreck She wishes she could eat
Be a normal teen
Not having to worry
As long as she has food But she's torn up everything
From her insides to her out
She cannot heal
What she's done to herself
