Eating Disorder Poetry
Murphy
She looks at me
With her puppy dog eyes
Then licks her lips
And raises her brow
She has that look
That look of worry
I question myself
Is she worried about me
Then I think
Why should she care
She's only a dog
She has it so easy
Just eat, sleep, and play
That's all she does
I wish I were her
But then she's be me
And who wants to be me
So she turns away
Away from me
It hurts to see
She finally gave up
I want to talk
But nothing comes out
How can I talk
When she's only a dog
